NRA BASIC RIFLE CLASS
This class teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle in target shooting. This course includes classroom and live fire range time. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions; cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development.
HOME DEFENDER RIFLE/CARBINE CLASS
This is an 8 hour rifle class that explores and practices the use of a rifle for defensive situations. You will learn about the legal use of deadly force (Article 35), and explore the multiple aspects of developing a defensive mindset and safety plan. This class includes classroom instruction as well as live fire exercises on the range. We will discuss and practice tactical and defensive shooting techniques as well as the use of cover and concealment.
